One winner each month receives one 1 litre jar of Maha Ghee Classic Ghee, currently retailing at R495, with delivery within South Africa included. There is no cash alternative and no fee to claim the prize.
How to enter
Share your own recipe, serving idea, kitchen story or experience with ghee. New to ghee? An original idea for how you would use it is welcome too. Tag @maha_ghee so we can find your entry. No purchase, website review or positive endorsement is required.
- Tagged Instagram story: 1 entry. Send us a screenshot by Instagram message before the story disappears, showing your handle, tag and posting date.
- Tagged Instagram post: 2 entries. Tag @maha_ghee in the post and send us its link so we can record it.
- Collab invitation: 5 entries total. Invite @maha_ghee as a collaborator. Every eligible post inviting us as a collaborator earns five entries, whether we accept the invitation or not. Individuals and businesses may invite us. Send us the post link and a screenshot of your collaboration invitation so we can record it.
Private accounts can send a screenshot and link by Instagram message. Entries must be visible to us or supplied by the closing time so we can verify them. Use only content you have permission to share and tag accurately.
Counting entries fairly
Each distinct story or post is counted once. Duplicate submissions or repeated reposts of the same item do not earn extra entries. A post inviting us as a collaborator earns five entries in total, not five plus two. Re-sending an invitation for the same post does not earn additional entries. Different eligible stories and posts may earn entries in the same month. Giveaway entries reset each month and are separate from shopping referral points.
For example, one tagged story plus one tagged post gives you three slips in the hat. One collab invitation gives you five slips, whether accepted or not. More slips mean more chances; every individual slip has the same chance of being drawn.
Monthly closing time and hat draw
This giveaway repeats every month, with a fresh draw and one prize each month. The first round runs from 13 September 2026 until 18:00 South African time on 30 September 2026. Thereafter, each round opens on the first day of the month and closes at 18:00 South African time on its last day.
At month-end, we check eligible entries, put one equal-sized slip per entry into a hat, mix them thoroughly and draw one slip without looking. Selection is by chance, not a judgement of how polished your content is. We keep an entry tally and draw record. If there are no eligible entries, there is no draw that month.
We contact the selected entrant by Instagram message from @maha_ghee. Please reply within seven calendar days to arrange delivery. If the entrant is ineligible or does not respond, we repeat the random draw from the remaining eligible entries. Winner publicity is optional and is not a condition of receiving the prize.
Who can take part
Open to South African residents aged 18 or older and South African businesses entering through an authorised adult representative. Maha Ghee’s owners, staff, people administering the draw and their immediate families may not enter. Automated, impersonated or fraudulent entries are excluded.
Your information and your content
We use your Instagram handle, entry links or screenshots and entry tally to check eligibility and conduct the draw. We request delivery and contact details only from the winner to fulfil the prize. We keep the records required to administer and document the competition. Entering does not give us unrestricted rights to reuse your content; we ask permission for reuse beyond your accepted collaborative post.
